Courtney Bullock serves the Kenner Discovery Schools as an Education Technology Support team member. She earned her Master's Degree in Education and Technology from Pepperdine University. After 15 years as a technology elective teacher for grades K-8, she has served as Instructional Tech Support for teachers and district personnel. Throughout her career she has supported teachers by working locally with schools to presenting at Teach the Teachers Computer Camp, California Computer Using Educators, ISTE and LACUE. In addition, she taught college level pre-service teacher courses on Integrating Technology in the Curriculum. She earned a Teacher Mini-Fulbright trip to Japan for having a great idea for a global collaboration between students as they learn about each other's community. She helped launch the Technology Cohort Program at a middle school in California by designing a multi-subject scope and sequence that integrated technology skills for both teacher and student as they progressed through their school year. Her favorite educational app is Zoombinis - a must have app for all. Her passion for teaching student's technology is inspired by the moment the students eyes light up and say “Wow! That’s cool!”
Bullock has both presented and participated in LACUE since 2008. This position brings exciting news and connections to Region 1. Bullock looks forward to coordinating Region 1’s own Mini-LACUE next summer and branching out to connect with teacher leaders in our region.
